The contribution reflects CJF’s broader mission to support diversity, transparency, and equity in leadership and to uplift organizations doing critical grassroots work in Delaware communities.

Christopher Purnell, Executive Director of the Police Athletic League of Wilmington, emphasized the importance of this support:

“It’s one thing to advocate at the statewide level—but it’s even more meaningful when organizations like Citizens for Judicial Fairness stand shoulder to shoulder with the people doing the day-to-day work of lifting up our communities. This investment in our D.I.V.A.S. program will directly impact young girls here in Wilmington, helping them build confidence, skills, and a brighter future.”

Jackie Griffith, Senior Strategic Advisor for Government and Community Relations of Citizens for Judicial Fairness, highlighted the organization’s commitment to systemic change:

“Our mission has always been to challenge the status quo and help build a future where leadership reflects the full diversity of Delaware. This donation is a meaningful step toward that goal—investing in young women who will shape the future of our state.”

The D.I.V.A.S. program (Developing Individuals with Vision, Ambition & Style) at PALW focuses on fostering leadership, entrepreneurship, and positive self-image among young girls in Wilmington. Today’s donation will help expand programming and resources, ensuring more young women can benefit from the initiative.
