CHICAGO, May 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Environmental & Public Health International® (EPHI) announced that its Lead Service Line Replacement Cost Calculator® (LSLRCC), a free, drinking water infrastructure planning tool recognized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), is now listed by the Indigenous Climate Resilience Network (ICRN), administered by the College of Menominee Nation’s Sustainable Development Institute.

The listing helps Tribal Nations and Indigenous communities more easily access a free tool for planning lead service line replacement and climate-resilient drinking water investments.

Indigenous Climate Resilience and Drinking Water Infrastructure
ICRN engages Tribes, inter-Tribal organizations, scientists, and public institutions to support Indigenous leadership in climate adaptation and resilience. Inclusion of the LSLRCC reflects the network’s focus on practical, evidence-based resources that help communities address drinking water risks associated with climate impacts and aging infrastructure.

Sponsorship Opportunities
Sponsorship opportunities for the Lead Service Line Replacement Cost Calculator® are available to mission-aligned public, private, and nonprofit organizations. Additional information is available on the LSLRCC sponsorship page.

United Nations Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum Commitment
The ICRN listing follows EPHI’s participation in the United Nations Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum, the United Nations’ principal platform for Indigenous Peoples, civil society, and scientific stakeholders to inform international environmental governance.

Through this engagement, EPHI reaffirmed its commitment to providing free access to the LSLRCC to support Indigenous Peoples and local communities advancing climate-resilient drinking water infrastructure planning.

United Nations Environment Programme–Recognized Tool Supporting Evidence-Based Planning
The LSLRCC is recognized by UNEP for advancing transparency, equitable access to safe drinking water, and climate-resilient infrastructure planning. The tool supports Tribal Nations, municipalities, and public water systems by providing data-driven estimates that inform lead service line replacement planning and investment decisions.

Strengthening Indigenous-Led Climate Adaptation and Drinking Water Infrastructure Decision Making
By increasing visibility of the LSLRCC through Indigenous-led networks, EPHI aims to expand access to practical planning tools that support community-driven climate adaptation, drinking water infrastructure decision making, and public health protection.

“ICRN plays a vital role in strengthening Indigenous leadership in climate adaptation,” said Anthony Ross, Founder and Director of Environmental & Public Health International. “Evidence-based resources are essential for advancing drinking water infrastructure and public health.”
