LernCenter - a Zurich-based private school (044 811 00 00) - has updated its Gymnasium Preparation syllabus.

-- Following the updates, motivated and ambitious pupils who have attended or currently attend first to third secondary classes in Division A can enroll in LernCenter’s preparatory course for grammar-level education.
More details can be found at https://lerncenter.ch
The course is aimed at students who would like to improve their preliminary grades and increase their chances of success in the Gymnasium examinations. The school has empowered hundreds of pupils to achieve their desired grades with a 92% success rate over the past four years.
A spokesperson explains, “From many years of experience, we see that some pupils have considerable gaps in the secondary classes. Early coaching before the summer holidays gives your child the opportunity to acquire missing skills and close any gaps.”
The course creates optimal conditions for children to excel and gain valuable self-confidence. LernCenter limits class sizes to six to 10 pupils to ensure each individual gets the appropriate amount of attention and support.
Pupils benefit from extensive course materials and a digital learning platform. Parents can request online attendance if desired, with the digital delivery format making it easy to access the course remotely.
The courses are led by fully qualified, certified teachers with expertise in the course topics which include Mathematics and German.
The updated Mathematics syllabus incorporates fractions, terms and equations, geometric concepts, and statistics among other topics. The classes are designed to close any gaps in learning while giving pupils a head start as they move toward the Gymnasium transition.
The German syllabus includes essay coaching, narrative development, sentence theory, text comprehension, spelling, verbs, and word theory.
The spokesperson adds, "In our positive learning climate, we create the conditions for your child to develop personally in terms of independence and self-confidence. As a result, they will be well prepared for the subsequent exam preparation courses."
Courses in 2025 run after the Sports Holiday, from March 12th to July 2nd. A combined German and Mathematics course begins at 1.20 pm, finishing at 4.45 pm. For Mathematics only, classes run from 1.20 pm to 2.55 pm, and 3.10 pm to 4.45 pm for German only. In addition, there are courses that run after the Spring Holiday.
